POW! Tailgating

Longhorn Baseball Tailgating

Baseball Tailgating Overview

The ‘Horns are a powerhouse with David Pierce at the helm. And that means big games, and big Longhorn baseball tailgates. We don’t believe football should get all the good tailgating. There are plenty of big teams that come out to The Disch and we’ll be there to get the festivities started. We’re Texas Longhorn Tailgate experts, and we can hook you up with some tailgate equipment to get rollin.

Spring in baseball time, come enjoy the Longhorns for tailgating.

Longhorn Baseball Tailgate Areas and Atmosphere

There are no bars or restaurants within walking distance of the stadium so not much else to do but tailgate in that area since it’s mostly residential. It’s not nearly as crazy as football season, but there’s some laid back fun out there. And while we don’t provide full-service set-ups for baseball, we can hook you up with TVs with a satellite dish, tailgate games like cornhole and washer pits and more. Longhorn Baseball Tailgate Parking

Parking for UT baseball games is hit and miss if you aren’t a Longhorn Foundation Member. Fear not, there are some options including limited street parking and $5 parking in other lots. There’s a cashier for most games at the corner of E. 20th and Leona St. as well as E. 21st and Concho streets to park in Lots 109, 110, 114, 115 and the grass lot located at the corner of MLK Blvd. and Leona. Spots are easy to come by–check out the parking area and map here.

There’s a few grassy spots out there but it’s mostly parking lots. Still plenty of room for any tailgate party.

Texas Longhorn Baseball Tickets

For UT Baseball Tickets: 1-800-982-BEVO (2386) or (512) 471-3333. Hit Craigslist Austin for some deals. Tickets aren’t generally hard to come by unless it’s College World Series time.

Longhorn Baseball Shuttle Service

Capital Metro has a hook-up but honestly, it’s not that great when you weigh the fact that the parking is ok for cars near the stadium. Disch-Falk Field Routes include: Route 37, Route 18 and Route EC. The EC runs only during regular school sessions and does not run on Saturday. Sunday service is limited. Call Capital Metro’s Go Line at (512) 474-1200 or visit Capital Metro for more deets.
